Biography
Paddy Cooney is Regional Director of the South West Development Centre. Until he took up his present post in 2003, he was Chief Executive of the Somerset Partnership NHS & Social Care Trust, the first integrated mental health trust in Britain. He is a social worker by background and worked in the Nottingham Mental Health Services for many years, before becoming a consultant with the Centre for Mental Health Services Development in King’s College London. Prior to moving to the South West, he was Director of Mental Health Services in Sheffield
