A 'dementia map' of the UK produced by the Alzheimer's Society and Alzheimer Scotland shows stark variations in the number of people suffering from the disease and those who actually received a medical diagnosis. The map shows that Dorset has the lowest rates of diagnosis, with 26% knowing they suffer from dementia, and Belfast has the highest rate at 69%.
