Disabled Trainees Find Full Time Employment

Energy2burn are based in Swindon and create wood pellets from wood destined for landfill or transported long distances for burning. Pellets made from pallets and other waste items offer choice to the consumer in the form of lower fuel prices and reduces the amount of landfill an area will have to pay tax on.   The wood pellets can be used in power stations and selected biomass boilers and burners, both domestically and commercially.

Dave Choules, 54, joined Energy2work in February 2010 and then enrolled on a course to renew a forklift licence. He was offered a full time position as a Production Assistant in June and said, “This job has given me my life back. It's great, I really enjoy it and being part of a good team.

Vince Sparkes, 32, also obtained a forklift licence via Energy2work and will be starting a full time job as a Production Assistant in August this year. This job means a lot to me and gives my family and myself a future. I’m better off on work that on benefits so I can buy things for my family.

Bill Ramsdale, Operations Manager at Energy2work said, “It’s fantastic that we can offer disabled people employment through this environmentally friendly project Energy2burn. We make a great team.
