South West commissioning strategy for Personality disorder services

The South West Personality disorder services Steering Group is overseeing the development of a South West commissioning strategy for personality disorder services.

Project lead, Edana Minghella, facilitated extensive consultation, which has informed the design of the commissioning strategy. The Steering Group has been working closely with Edana to shape and guide the focus and content to ensure that it reflects the views of stake holders in the South West, and that it reflects the changing arrangements for commissioning which have been introduced by the government.

The Strategy will be completed by 31st January, whereupon it will be presented to the Strategic Health Authority with the proposal that, as lead agency, it invites key agencies and groups in the South West to support it, that is, to ‘sign up’ to it. The Steering Group aim to complete this process by 31st March 2011.
