Mental Health Liaison
The South West Development Centre is embarking on a Project aiming to engage providers of acute services and specialist services in ensuring the delivery of the NHS Strategy for Improving Health in the South West 2008-11 – Ambitions document.
The objectives of the Project will be to scope existing Mental Health Liaison Service provision in the South West and nationally to identify expertise and positive practice. This will form the basis of regional debate and discussion that will enable the development of more robust local commissioning strategies, service specifications and investment, engender improved service development and delivery and increase access to services.
The main deliverables of the Project will include a brief scoping report that will be presented at two regional workshops planned for late autumn of 2009. Recommendations from these workshops will be used to plan further development work.
More information will be provided on this site as the work develops.
