Project Summary
The Peer Review aims to:
- Engage mental health commissioners in the review of early intervention services in the South West in order to secure greater understanding about and a more transparent picture of the quality of EI services in the South West.
- Improve the commissioning and delivery of EI services
- Improve outcomes for people using EI services
The proposed outcomes from the work include:
- The ability to develop more detailed specifications within Mental Health Contracts
- More equitable provision of EI services within providers across the South West
- Increased access to services for target groups
- Identification of outcomes attributable to local service redesign and improvement interventions
The project commenced at a Stakeholder Event held in June where the process for the Peer Review was refined and agreed and the first stage of data collection was presented. This data is in the process of being revised and will form the basis of the Review. A further Stakeholder Event is planned for March 2010 when the key findings of the Project will be presented.
As key stages of the Project are rolled out, outcomes will be published on this site.
