In 2010, the Regional Public Health Group was able to identify Health Inequalities
Funding to support a project aimed at reducing the health inequalities for
children and young people in care. This project has now been completed and this has resulted in the Guide for Commissioners being produced.
The guide was developed with a range of practitioners from across the South West and includes practice examples from local areas. The work incorporated direct input from young people, and contains a link to a DVD produced by young people in Devon, as well as a filmed interview with Dr Eleanor Mccartney from Cornwall.
